Travelling imparts a new vigour to the mind

"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." This is a very beautiful quote by Jawahar Lal Nehru.

So, well said. This world of ours has so much to offer, we only need to keep our eyes and mind open. Travelling is not just about seeing new places, it is about the changes that come over in you, the way you adapt to sitautions and people and a test of your capabilities. With the influx of so many budget airlines and travel operators, there has never been a better time to travel. With so many flights to choose from, each offering added benefits and additional services to lure customers, things have never been so traveller friendly.

If you have the time, then planning a long trip covering many places is a good idea. Though it may seem like a complex and tiring idea, if planned well it can be like a piece of cake. You could opt to cover places like Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore. All these countries have so much to offer to tourists whether it is wildlife or culture. If you are looking for something more adventurous and different, then head to Russia. Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan and Volgograd are some of the places visited most often by tourists. Russia is a cold country but if you plan well then your holiday can be a pleasure. Lake Baikal in Siberia is a beautiful place to visit. Apart from natural beauty which includes impressive mountain ranges, nature reserves and idyllic lakes, Russia also has some of the best museums in the worls. Art lovers will enjoy in Russia. If time is a constraint and you would prefer to travel within India, then fret not. Because India is such a diverse country not just in terms of culture but also tourism. On my travel list - A visit to Australia

Last weekend while travelling to London from Dubai, I met this wonderful lady from Sydney who was travelling to UK on a 3 week leisure holiday. Got talking to her and she told me about what Australia has to offer to avid travellers.

One place she told me about was 'Brampton Islands' which is famous for its golden beaches. It would be the perfect place to spend your wedding anniversary she said. She also told me of a website called Travel.au which has some really good cheap flight deals. I checked the site after reaching London and was glad she told me about it.

While on their site I happened to see the offers they have on flights to Singapore and must say was impressed. Add this to my travel wish list too. Cheap flight tickets make it so much more affordable to travel.

There was also a section which allowed me to compare cheap flight airfares. Such a useful tool for travellers. Hope my readers find the site as useful as I did. And Happy travelling to all of you.
